Wrexham Win Opener!

The FAW Elite Futsal League champions kicked off their campaign with a comfortable 6-2 victory at Llandarcy.

Despite going behind to an early Ashlee Powell goal Wrexham Glyndwr took full control of this fixture by replying with three quick fire goals. A Tom Davies equaliser in the 7th minute put LLandarcy on the back foot before two goals in two minutes, scored by Connor Rogers and Cal Bromley ensured that Wrexham went into the break with a two goal advantage.

An early second half strike from Cal Bromley put Wrexham 3 goals ahead before Llandarcy pulled one back and threatened a comeback. However, the game was finally put to bed when Chris Sheehan scored his first goal of the season. Connor Rogers capped off an opening day victory for the champions with his second and Wrexham Glyndwr’s sixth goal of the day.
